Jo Hoskins, Teacher

Side stretch warm filterJo HoskinsYoga came to me at a time in my life when I was feeling stressed out and overwhelmed, but from the first classes I knew I’d found something that worked for me. Yoga became part of my every day life, and then my inspiration.

I was amazed by the transformation that Yoga brought to my life; I was calmer, happier and more settled. And that was just my mind. My body felt equally transformed: stronger and yet more flexible.

After a few years of regular practice, I began studying with the International Yoga Teachers’ Association (IYTA) and gained my teaching diploma in 2003. Since then I have been teaching community and corporate Yoga classes in the Perth northern suburbs and city/ metropolitan area. I have recently completed a 2nd teacher training qualification in Dru Yoga, which is a flowing and graceful style of Hatha Yoga with tremendous therapeutic benefits that can be practiced by students of all ages and abilities. In 2015 I travelled to New Zealand to study with Donna Farhi, and completed her Certificate in Advanced Yoga Studies. I am a  Level 3/ Senior teacher with Yoga Australia (YA) and have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Murdoch University.

I am extremely lucky to have been inspired by some wonderfully dedicated teachers over the years, and I continue to further my studies of Hatha Yoga and meditation, and regularly attend workshops and classes.
