What is a Hatha Yoga class?

What kind of Yoga can you expect in a class that is advertised simply as a Hatha Yoga class? Generally a Hatha-style class is a well-rounded class incorporating physical postures, breath control, meditation and relaxation.

 Depending on the teacher, Yoga postures might be static or flowing, or a combination of both. Hatha style Yoga is excellent for beginners and on-going students alike.

 Beginners will learn the fundamentals of Yoga postures and how to position themselves safely. Ongoing students will be encouraged to hold poses for longer with more challenging variations. An experienced and well-qualified Yoga teacher can accommodate students with varying levels of ability in the same class.
